Got to Admit It's Getting Better
Hello folks!
I’ve been feeling so much better lately, and honestly, it’s nice. Still a few sore spots around my incision site, but I’m mostly whole again! I’ve been on my bike for a week now, and it’s tough, really tough, but only because I’ve lost fitness, not because of surgery things! As far as the poop report, we’re still not “regular” but the food isn’t upsetting my stomach anymore and that’s such a HUGE relief. I think the regularity will come soon, pray for me.
Before the surgery, Will and I would walk past an Indian food restaurant, and I know my stomach could barely handle salt and pepper, I always said no. Y’all… we’ve been twice this week. I love seasoned food so much. Spices are essential to a happy life.
So what now?
I train in this oppressive heat, and hopefully, soon enough, I race. But while we’re working towards that, I’m keeping myself busy with AQBF things! Team Abundance takes on the Intelligentsia cup starting on Monday, July 24th. It’s gonna be amazing.
Will and I visited the men’s Tour de France last week, and tomorrow we head out for the FIRST WOMEN’S TDF in 33 years!!!!!!!!! Y’all. I’m so excited. I’ll be taking over Strava’s Instagram and giving folks the inside scoop from Paris! Am I bummed I’m not racing? I mean… in this state, no. I wish I was fit and in shape to race it for sure, but as with everything else I’ve wished for, I know my time will come.
Here’s a little video Will and I made so y’all can see signs of life (if you missed it on socials). Enjoy!
