#RepresentationMatters

A Quick Brown Fox works to build space and create opportunities for Black People, Indigenous people, and people of color to thrive in cycling and in the outdoors. Through programs, content, and initiatives, we continue to show how truly we believe that #REPRESENTATIONMATTERS.

Ayesha McGowan | Chief Advocate & Visionary

Ayesha McGowan (she/they) is the first African-American woman pro road cyclist, ever. Ayesha is extremely passionate about creating representation in cycling that will encourage and inspire other African-American women and youth to follow their dreams whatever they may be. She started AQBF as a way to document and fuel her own journey and has now pivoted the company to pay it forward.

Devin Cowens | Director of Partnerships + Operations

Devin Cowens (she/her) is a Black, queer, woman living in Atlanta, GA. In addition to her work with AQBF, she is also a connector, community organizer, gravel cyclist, and the Atlanta chapter lead for Radical Adventure Riders.

Alexa Everson | Director of Logistics + Events

Alexa Everson (she/her) is a SoCal-raised and Colorado-based cyclist, hiker, trail runner, backpacker, travel guide, creator, writer, educator, and advocate. She uses her past experience with geology, active tourism, advocacy work, and all forms of cycling to help fulfill the mission of Thee Abundance Project as our Logistics & Events Specialist and Team Abundance Soign-Auntie. In addition to her work on the AQBF leadership team, she is one-eighth of The Black Foxes, an international collective of unapologetically Black cyclists and outdoors-people that are reclaiming their narratives in the outdoors.

Laura Solis | Director of Community + Programs

Laura Solís (she/her) is from the Bronx, NY and based out of the Pacific Northwest. She has an extensive history as a safe-streets advocate, community organizer and bike-riding instructor.

She enjoys keeping her body in motion and has ridden her bikes for thousands of miles - primarily as a commuter. These days she is spending more time off-bike: rucking, running and swinging a kettlebell.

Her passion lies in building relationships and communities where folks can be unabashedly themselves.
