Racing Season is Here!!!!!

Razzle Dazzle Racing 2016

Holy Crap! By Saturday Evening my first official race of 2016 will be over! It's almost like I blinked and race season reappeared! Wasn't it just yesterday I was starting an attack at the Oakland Gran Prix because I felt like nothing had happened in  a while? I always feel like the Cat 3/4 women have so much more to offer, but they are just legitimately afraid to take risks. Hell, I know they have more to offer because I have yet to have one of my attacks stick. I love getting brought back into the field. I know that takes a bit of an effort and teamwork to catch me. That's the whole point! I bet i'd feel way better if I succeeded in getting away. Maybe one day I'll find out!

Speaking of teamwork, Gone are the days of making dumb knee jerk decisions just because I feel like it! No more trying to make cohorts out of competitors! I'm on a real team of super women! Some of my best memories from 2015 were working for or with Rosael on the track. It's such a great feeling to be part of something bigger than yourself. 

Cycling is a team sport, and I have very little experience with that side of things. I'm so thrilled to spend 2016 learning how to take up different roles a teammate! I have much to learn, but I feel like i'm in the right group of women to learn it. We held team camp this past weekend, and it was awesome to see how each of our skill sets compliment everyone else's. Where one of us lacks, at least one of us thrives. I'm pumped to get rad with these ladies this season. 

Also, I just got the green light on some pretty cool solo adventures! More on that later. I can hardly contain my excitement! Woot!

I'm putting together my race calendar so those who have asked when and where they can "hoot and holler" for me can plan ahead. More dates to add, still getting some things worked out, but it's shaping up to be a fun one! I have the most amazing support system, forever grateful!
