Day 20: Recipe | Ginger Lime Hot Toddy

I am currently down with the sickness. But not because I want to be. This is one of my favorite illness fighting brews. And since it's made from standard goodness, you don't really need to be sick to justify making it either!

What you Need:

  • Hot Water
  • Ginger Tea
  • 1/2 Lime
  • 1-2 Tablespoons of Brandy
  • Honey (Optional)
  • A Knife

Step 1:  STeep your tea bag in the hot water

You can totally use standard black tea, or green tea, and real ginger. I actually reccommend it. This Yogi Ginger tea is the truth tho, if you want to save yourself a few steps.

Step 2: Slice your lime.

I like to slice it in half, and re-use the half a few times, you can also do wedges as you don't really need a lot of lime juice for one toddy.

Step 3: Squeeze a bit of juice!

Step 4: Add your brandy

1-2 tablespoons will do it. You're making a hot toddy, not crunk juice.

Step 5: Add Honey to taste

Step 6: Feel better

If nothing else, the Brandy will make you a little more comfortable. Take what you can get alright?
